Building & Grounds
This committee is responsible for
maintaining and upgrading the parish's physical plant. Its
members obtain and evaluate vendor bids for required repair
and enhancement work, and seek the advice of consultants as
required. The committee meets the second Tuesday of every
month at 4:00 p.m., to track the progress of work projects and
identify and address new work requests, as well as plan for
future improvements. Volunteers are always needed for the
following: Obtaining, evaluating bids and assigning
contractors for required repair and improvement projects
relating to heating, air conditioning, lighting, roofs,
brickwork, concrete walkways, interior structures and
decorative fixtures and surfaces. Volunteers with specialized
skills in any of these areas are especially welcome to
contribute their expertise and labor. Assist with garden and
lawn care to improve the quality and condition of the
plantings of grass, flowers, shrubs and trees on the church
grounds. People willing to "adopt" a part of the church
landscape and submit proposed planting designs, and/or to
plant and tend them would be a most welcome addition to this
ministry. |
