The Brotherhood of St. Andrew
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a
national men's group of the Episcopal Church, which provides
fraternal Christian fellowship, prayer, and Bible study for
its members, as well as parish and community outreach support.
Membership in the Brotherhood is open to all adult males of
St. John's. The group meets the third Saturday of the month,
September through May, from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.. These meetings
include morning prayer, breakfast, Bible study, and a business
section. Members of the Brotherhood also cook breakfast for
the guests of a P.A.D.S. homeless shelter on the first
Saturday morning of the months from October through March. In
addition, each year the Brotherhood conducts a Bake-athon and
auction which is the group's primary source of revenue to
sponsor numerous community and parish organizations.
